Mojib - Whimsical Mixtape

Mojib follows up his intriguing debut album from last year, Whimsical Lifestyle, with a mixtape project that doesn't look and sound like anything else. Which means Mojib fans will recognize the style. The whole mixtape is divided into two parts, full of his inspirations put into the album. Side A, which is untitled, takes off with a fast tempo and dives and twirls and bounces through one thing to the other. Tracks we recognize from this eclectic Swede's great album blend with diffuse samples of hip hop and rock and with beats that range from drum'n'bass to rap rhythms. It's unlike any mixtape you've ever heard. And a fair measure of Daft Punk is of course also thrown into the first half-hour part! :)

Side B is considerably darker and downtempo, featuring both Underneath and Untitled from his LP. What you should really look out for in this half hour of the mix is his awesome contribution to the upcoming Rewind 2: a cover of Radiohead's Paranoid Android. This second part is called Feast On My Heart and hence it should be perfect for the Halloween celebrations, or depravations perhaps. Side B - Feast On My Heart will be released by Mojib's new label N Records by the end of the year as a limited release CD with an extended version of the mix.
