Rewind was finally released on July 1! The reason I haven't blogged it yet is because I was on Gotland til July 5 and I needed some time to listen through all the 58 (!) 80s covers and remixes. Needless to say, this is a huge mp3 collection of goodies and gems to dig into! Like a huge candy box which you can spend an entire day with searching and tasting after your favourites. Below I have zshare'd and yousendit'd ALL 59 tracks. Hypem is gonna blow up, my mind is going to blow up but I gotta tell you: I love this project. Be on the lookout for my favourite tracks which are by: Keenhouse, Mr Miyagi, Anoraak, Northern Portrait, Database, GlitchBitch, Joe And Will Ask?, Heartache, Findlay Brown, Xinobi, Frankmusik, Sidechains, Moulinex and Pomomofo.

The Buffetlibre DJ's are going to take the most electronic moments and put them together into another super-hot fresh mix to be released July 15, this coming Tuesday that is. The second and final part of the Rewind project will be released September 1.

I was there in the eighties, so I'm probably 100 years too old to be within the target audience for this. I would not go as far as the commentator before me - to each his own - but to me this is one large heap of the most trite shite. Sorry.
Hank, as far as I'm concerned, you're as old as you make yourself. It sounds like your pigeonholing yourself into the generation ahead of the target audience. Which is just not reasonable. I don't know, but maybe you've heard of The Chemical Brothers or Basement Jaxx? Maybe they're you're age, 30-40 or beyond. I interprete that you distance yourself from this new modern electronic music that permeates this collection.
I'm not the one to tell you what to like or not. But don't limit contemporary indie and electronic music to a certain generation - that's just not reality. Besides, there are a bunch of non-electronic tracks. What are you into? Springsteen, Dylan, the Stones, Cash, Hall & Oates, Cliff Richard? The two last ones can be found here! Sorry that a 16-yearold had to tell off someone who was "there".
