New tracks...

Here's a heap of new tracks from some artists I've written about before. See if you recognize them all. If you don't, then you have a whole lot of catching up to do, youngster!

Pete Yorn and mexican band Kinky join forces for a cover of Bill Withers' classic funk groover Use Me. Electronic beats and rocking guitars brings new life into a slumbering hit. You can find the track on Robin Danar's new album Altered States. Robin has invited a variety of artists to produce covers on songs from ye good ol' days. It's seems to be an interesting project, I suggest you find out more about it and listen to it. You can read more about it here!

Loud Pipes keeps bringing us new dancefloor tunes. While Solitaire is playing with the classic house sound complete with pianos, Marrishy Sax resembles Mr. Oizo's 2007 dancefloor smasher Patrick 122 complete with a groovy sax. A remix for Foals' Electric Bloom has also been made but I'll post that tomorrow together with the other 20 remixes that has also been done for the remix contest.

Every 29th of each month this year the dead Russian ice hockey player/DJ will bring us dancefloor havoc.

"Dmitry Fyodorov returns after 20 years and 2 month of havoc dance disaster with this, the third track of 2008. "Signal" - is a track based on signal communications with Dmitry Fyodorov’s restless soul that was received through some serious black magic that would even make the short guy in Abruptum (the man that goes by the name of ‘It’ because he is too evil to have a real name!) go bananas. Watch out, this is evil magic stuff, it will destroy both dance floors and hockey rinks."

Boyhood Bravery has a new tune out. The song is lo-fi and amateuristic, i.e. very charming and still proves the melodic potentials in this young talented singer-songwriter. Plus: it's named after that fantastic place where FS usually hangs out (?).
